This team will spend intentional time deep cleaning all areas of the pantry ensuring an excellent and well-maintained space for our guests each week. This team will also engage in general workday tasks that may be needed to refresh the interior and exterior areas of the pantry. Ages 12+
This team will assist in setting-up our RVA Week Command Center Station. This includes setting up the serve week shirt pick-up station and ensuring our lobby is ready to welcome serve teams all week long. Ages 10+
This team will set-up the auditorium(s) to prepare our spaces to be utilized throughout RVA Week. Ages 12+
This team will come alongside our Heights Grocery Stocking Team to assist in sorting and organizing all items dropped off from public donation, as well as supplies brought in during this time from our Collections Team. Ages 5+
This team will support UMFS counselors by touching-up the paint in their offices, where they provide support for children. Ages 12+
This team will pick up mulch and deliver it to the sites for landscaping projects throughout the week, ensuring an excellent RVA week for all of our landscaping teams! Heavy lifting is required. Ages 12+
This team will partner with Feed More to portion and package prepared food for distribution to Meals on Wheels and other clients. Ages 16+
This team will build bears and write hand-written cards which will be delivered to various organizations within our community. We want even our smallest Heights Kids to know they can make a difference, so this project is designed for preschoolers and under, and is family-friendly.
This team will shop meal supplies and come together to make sandwich sack meals for our neighbors experiencing homelessness. This team will then deliver the meals to Blessing Warriors for distribution throughout the community. Ages 5+
This team will remulch the playground area assembled last RVA Week at McShin Destiny House, serving women and children. This team will also assist in assembling garage shelving to make space for playground toys and more. Ages 12+
This team will be remulching the Heights Academy playground area, and preparing the area for a new playground to be securely installed, providing the best experience for our Lions as they come for summer camp and the new school year. Ages 12+
This team will be completing powerwashing at McShin Hilliard House that houses our neighbors in recovery from addiction. Ages 12+
